Founded in 1996 by a coffee professional, Grounds for Health is the only nonprofit organization in the world dedicated exclusively to preventing cervical cancer in coffee-growing communities. We operate at the intersection of global health and the coffee industry, bringing life-saving screenings and treatment directly to the women who grow and harvest your coffee.
Cervical cancer is entirely preventable, yet it is one of the leading causes of cancer death among women in low- and middle-income countries. We work in the communities where coffee is grown – where the need is greatest and where coffee and allied companies can create lasting impact.
