Cecilia currently leads Yara’s innovation & sustainability agenda in Mexico and Central America. Since April 2024, she has partnered with stakeholders across the food value chain to decarbonize and promote regenerative agriculture practices in the region. Before Yara, she was Global Head of ESG & Impact at Orbia, where she contributed to defining the group’s sustainability strategy and led initiatives across topics such as water & food security, circularity, climate resilience, and sustainable agriculture.
She has been working in the sustainability space for over 15 years in France, the UK, and Mexico. Additional previous roles include Deloitte’s sustainability practice and the Zoological Society of London. She has been recently invited to join the Board of Directors of CECI (Centred’Etude et de Cooperation Internationale), a Canadian NGO focusing on empowering women and girls, with programs including agriculture and climate resilience.
Cecilia holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from Tec de Monterrey (ITESM) and a master’s degree in international affairs & sustainability from Sciences Po Paris, in addition to courses and certificates on regenerative agriculture.
