He has 32 years of experience in coordinating and executing capacity-building projects for local actors in sustainable natural resource management in Latin America; 22 years of experience in coordinating and implementing international projects for integrated coffee management, pest, and disease management; knowledge in total quality and good agroecological practices in both conventional and organic management within agroforestry systems; coordinator of a pioneering long-term study on agroecological interactions in coffee production systems under shade compared to full sun with conventional (agrochemical) and organic management; 22 years of experience in developing and implementing agroforestry policies and methodologies for assessing vulnerability and adaptive capacity/mitigation of the agricultural sector in Latin America in the face of climate change.
