Lucas Venturim is part of the 5th generation of his family’s growing coffee in Espirito Santo, Brazil. Since 2007, he’s been fully dedicated to high-quality canephoras, adapting all the family’s expertise to produce fine robustas. Alongside his Civil Engeneering degree (emphasis in Sanitation and Management)-which goes for experimentation and investigation about post-harvest techniques-he is experienced in teaching and that helps as a consultant too. To better understand the roasters needs, in 2016 he also became a cupper and then a roaster, willing to learn more about the chain, and started to sell their coffees straight to roasters and coffee shops in Brazil, and since 2018, also overseas. Since 2020, he has worked for CQI on many projects, such as developing the Post-harvest Quality Program for Robusta, the Philipines Coffee Guide review, and other exclusive classes. Nowadays he is a Q-Processing Robusta professional instructor for CQI.
