Manuela has over 15 years of experience in agricultural commodities, with a career spanning roles across trading and sustainability. She began her journey in the sugar sector, working for an ethanol trading company and a sugarcane mill, before contributing to a not-for-profit organization focused on advancing sustainability in the sugarcane industry.
For the past decade, Manuela has been with Macquarie Bank, where she develops trading strategies by analyzing market fundamentals and financial flows across soft commodities, including coffee, sugar, and orange juice. Originally from Brazil, she is now based in London, UK. Manuela holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics, a master’s in Agroenergy, and a PhD in environmental policy.
