Marcel Clement is the founder of ImpACT Consulting BV and a seasoned leader in the global coffee sector. For over 18 years he shaped sustainability strategies at the Rainforest Alliance, where he became known as the organization’s global coffee champion, guiding the growth of its coffee program worldwide. He later served as Director for Europe, Middle East, Africa & Japan and as Senior Strategy Advisor to the global leadership team, playing a central role in the merger of UTZ and Rainforest Alliance, shaping the 2030 vision, and helping secure industry-wide commitments across coffee, cocoa, tea, and bananas.
Earlier in his career Marcel worked with ANACAFÉ in Guatemala and as a coffee trader, before dedicating himself to building sustainable supply chains. He has served on the boards of both the Global Coffee Platform and the 4C Association and is widely recognized as a bridge-builder between producers, companies, and civil society.
Today, Marcel represents Climate Sense, an innovation platform developing scalable solutions for regenerative agriculture, net zero commitments, and climate resilience. Drawing on decades of experience and a global network, he helps companies and initiatives accelerate the transition to regenerative and future-proof coffee value chains
