A Costa Rican and fourth-generation coffee producer, Mariano Vargas is an agronomist engineer with a master’s in business administration from INCAE Business School. Currently, as R&D Green Coffee Champion in Nestlé, Switzerland, he leads the global management of green coffee, driving scalable and sustainable solutions for the industry.
His previous experience includes optimizing production models based on the carbon economy and implementing sustainability standards. He has also served as an associate professor at EARTH University, contributing to the education of a new generation of agronomists committed to sustainable development.
